Christmas Program
All 3 kids and I are in the Christmas Play at church. Thomas is singing Jesus loves me to Baby Jesus.. Becca is singing Twinkle Twinkle Christmas Star.. While Chris is Joseph and has 3 pretty long lines.. Here they are
JOSEPH: Come on Mary, you must sit down. You just had a baby and you need the rest.
Mary: Joseph, I know what to do with a baby. I cannot beleive he was born while we were still in Bethlehem. Ijust want to be home in Nazareth with my mother and sisters to help me. Put that blanket on him for me. That's it. Now he is warm.
JOSEPH: Put him in the manger. The cows have already eaten and the straw is fresh. It looks like a baby's bed. He'll be able to sleep through the night.
Mary: Joseph look at those little children (modern day sunday school kids) They are dressed so strangely. They seem to want to look at Jesus. Should we let them come close?
JOSEPH: They look harmless. Yes, let's let them look at our baby. They look like they want to sing a lullaby.
OK. Chris read through the part during rehearsal Sunday and then once on the way home from Church on Sunday. Then again 2x tonight. The third time we went to go over it he had it MEMORIZED Word for word!! I am soo proud of him!
